BL Hairdressing:

Course:    VRQ L2 Certificate in Hairdressing Services

Duration:   17 weeks

Attendance:   14 hours per week @ 2 days

Cost:    Fully funded – Free to unemployed

Programme Details

This training opportunity will be available to local unemployed people who would like to access training within the hair & beauty sector. During the 17 week course candidates will be provided with an introduction to the various roles and career opportunities within the hairdressing sector, along with the skills to be able to confidently approach an interview with the employer at the end of training. From understanding the key elements required by employers for working in this environment, to developing good practical skills, in styling and dressing hair. In addition, we will provide an interview to progress onto an Apprenticeship and help arrange job interviews with prospectus employers.

Entry Requirements

1. Age 19+ and in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) or Employment Support Allowance (ESA)

2. Genuinely interested in developing new skills and committed to the course and interview with employer

Pre-Apprenticeship in Beauty and Hairdressing course:

• Gain recognized hairdressing qualifications

• Earn £20 per week

• Developing your personal & social skills

• Gain work experience

• Support in the progression sector

• Travel expenses paid for

• Maybe eligible for Bursury Fund
